About me

My name is Hippy Sarah. I have a wonderful husband, 2 awesome kids, one new grandson, 5 cats, 4 turtles, and some fish. We have been blessed with good family and friends that we share smiles and laughter with. I am truly grateful for everything in my life and couldn't be happier to continue building this small business and live my dream as an artist.

I’m thrilled to share my artistic journey with you. With over 30 years of experience as a jack of all trade's girl, I merge my love for woodworking and painting to create unique pieces of art. I’m equally talented with using power tools as I am with the fine details of acrylic paintings, whether on canvas or other unique forms of art. The gallery is a display some of the art I have done in the last 5 years, so if you see something you like, all you would need to do is contact me and I will do my best to recreate a piece for you.

My passion is constantly eager to learn and explore new techniques. Soon, I’ll be diving into the world of airbrushing, epoxy resin in furniture, upholstery, tailoring and many other artistic creations to expand my horizons. Additionally, I have a strong commitment to sustainability, taking joy in repurposing, reviving and recycling materials that others might discard. My goal is to transform these items into beautiful, functional art pieces that brings new life into the old. Join me as I embark on this exciting artistic adventure!

Projects

New projects I have been working on recently

Epoxy Resin Tables

Customer who had two RV tables that needed to be remodeled. I stripped and sanded them down, added a base color and with some unique designs of epoxy resin colors.

I was going for a marble look, which was pretty fun and exciting to work with. After a few layers were completely dry, I used a topcoat finish from stone coat which provided a food safe and scratch resistant surface.

Customers were very satisfied with how it turned out!!!

Hippy's Garden

What started with an idea to want a garden, ended up with a beautiful addition to our new home in a few weeks. Some 2x4's and scrap wood I had to use up from my old swimming pool deck, it was pieced together one board at a time. Now to watch my veggies grow!

Stairs needed in workshop

My workshop needed stairs for easier access to the mezzanine for storage and workable space. So I built these stairs in one weekend! Beautiful.

Curio Cabinet resurface

This 2-piece cabinet came to me in fair condition but had a broken door and the bottom section was worn and scratched. I sanded it down and resurfaced it to match the color of the two perfectly. Customer was pleased with results.

When I got this table it was in rough shape and I did my best to sand it all down and resurface it using general finishes gel stain and top coat. This left a beautiful solid finish that made the customers very happy.
